A little about me and how I ended up here
It started with friends. Specifically, friends who hated having their photo taken but trusted me enough to try anyway. Somewhere between the awkward silences and bad lighting in someone's backyard, I figured out how to make people feel like themselves in front of a camera — and I haven't stopped thinking about that problem since.
Today I work with small business owners, creatives, and teams who need brand images that are warm and polished without feeling like a corporate headshot from 2009. My approach is pretty straightforward: good light, calm energy, and a lot of quiet direction so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands. Posing is just choreography. Most people catch on faster than they expect.
What I hear most often after a session is that it felt nothing like what people were dreading — and that the photos actually look like them. That second part matters more to me than any technical compliment. When someone sees their own face and thinks 'yes, that's me,' the work is done right.
